Your Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and report any abnormalities to the Nurse Manager.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff and document administration.
- Respond to patient calls and emergencies promptly during the night shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA License required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently.
