Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the nursing staff.
- Assist with the transfer and ambulation of patients using proper body mechanics and mobility equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans, treatments, and observations in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, following established safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and high-quality care environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of patient rooms and common areas.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the state of Oklahoma.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or ACLS certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients improve their quality of life.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs as necessary.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
