Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Manage patient check-in, insurance verification, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
