Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care observations and interventions in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, physicians, and families to deliver holistic patient care.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in Texas).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
