Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough health assessments, including physical exams and reviewing medical histories to establish a baseline for care.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and adjust individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, and recovery goals.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate seamless, holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, documenting patient progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and established hospital protocols.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a strong advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met during their hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Technology: Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
