Responsibilities

  • Provide direct personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration, accurately and timely.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, including turning, repositioning, and using walkers or wheelchairs.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and feeding plans.
  • Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Administer medication as directed and document all treatments in the electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in North Carolina.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Reliable transportation and a history of punctual attendance.
