Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, with high accuracy.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Report changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Michigan CNA Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in long-term care or hospital settings preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
