Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patients' families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
