Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient conditions, and incidents accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Collaborate with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Georgia CNA License required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and respect.
