Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring all readings are accurately documented in the electronic health record.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.
  • Provide safe and effective patient transfers and ambulation support to prevent falls and injuries.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to strict protocols and physician orders under the supervision of an RN.
  • Respond immediately to patient call lights and emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and rapid response.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in compliance with hospital infection control standards.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid State of Texas CNA License (Texas Board of Nursing).
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current and maintained.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen effectively and report observations clearly.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
