Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in conversation and social activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties related to client care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current CNA License: Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, transfer, and maneuver patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Driving: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
