Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Support the nursing staff with medication administration and treatment procedures under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered New Mexico CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work rotating shifts.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
