Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient conditions accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and promote patient comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff under supervision.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Nevada.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, push, and pull patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
