Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) and care plans.
- Foster a positive and therapeutic environment by building rapport with patients and families.
- Assist with meal service and ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition and hydration.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs throughout the night shift.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA Certification (State Licensure required).
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented nature.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed.
