Responsibilities
- Monitor and document resident vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, at regular intervals.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance to patients during the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all residents.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding any changes in patient condition.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent falls and accidents.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Nebraska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- CPR certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and assist residents weighing up to 250 lbs.
