Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and ambulation.
- Assist with meals and feeding patients who require assistance with eating.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient’s physical or mental condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration strictly according to facility policy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, active North Carolina CNA Certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist with lifting patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
