Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting (ADLs).
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respirations) and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses and following strict protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all residents and patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California (valid and current).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred (1+ years).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to lift, turn, and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
