Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) and report any significant changes to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and equipment to ensure safety.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of California.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for patients.
- Ability to work night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and weekends as required.
