Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support as needed.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the RN or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed personnel.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting (preferred for night shift).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during night hours.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
