Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history documentation with precision.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, processing insurance claims, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis) and prepare samples for analysis.
- Answer patient inquiries and provide educational materials regarding health conditions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician’s office or clinic setting in Los Angeles.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient empathy.
