Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of caregivers. In this role, you will provide essential care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while working closely with our skilled nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing supervisor.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients; assist with feeding and hydration as needed.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Emergency Response: Follow proper protocols during emergencies, including assisting with mobilization and patient transfers.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved CNA program is a plus, but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to help others and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks.
- Reliability: Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification: Must be willing to obtain CNA certification or state license upon hire.
