Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in North Carolina or Virginia required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on quality care.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
