Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report changes in patients' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized according to facility standards.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, providing a comforting presence during their stay.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- CNA Certification: Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Georgia is required.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior work experience is required; we are looking for a strong desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
- Compassion & Empathy: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
