Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate patient needs, concerns, and changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA certification preferred, but willing to train candidates with no experience.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help the elderly or disabled.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and valid ID.
