Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming under supervision.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to and from wheelchairs or beds.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Document daily care activities and accurately report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and families regarding patient needs and updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.
- Must possess a compassionate demeanor and a strong desire to help others in a clinical setting.
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and certification assistance programs.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use hospital documentation systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods while assisting patients.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Valid state identification and authorization to work in the United States of America.
