Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain personal hygiene and dignity.
- Monitor Patient Health: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Provide Personal Care: Assist with feeding, ambulation, and repositioning patients in bed or wheelchairs to prevent bedsores.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a positive environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
- Communicate with Staff: Report any changes in a patient's condition to the RN or LPN immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current State of Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as well as stand for extended periods.
- Empathy: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
