Your Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our diverse population. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with medical orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care activities, clinical findings, and responses to treatment accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and discharge planning.
- Adhere to all Joint Commission standards, CMS regulations, and Sentara policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Virginia (or Compact State license).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting, for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
