Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and basic health screenings accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and communicate results to patients.
- Handle front-desk duties, including scheduling appointments and answering calls.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but willing to train qualified candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using EHR software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
