Responsibilities
- Provide basic daily living assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring from bed to wheelchair.
- Feed and assist patients with eating and drinking as required.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients.
- Report any changes in a patient’s physical or mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must possess a strong desire to work in healthcare and a compassionate nature.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Willingness to complete on-site training and obtain CNA certification within the probationary period.
