Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, walking, and transferring patients to and from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
  • Monitor patient health and report any changes in condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Prepare meals and assist patients with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and doing laundry, to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
  • Accompany patients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred.
  • Current, valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented nature.
