Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for facility travel, if required).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Willingness to complete state-required training and certification programs.
