Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Patient Mobility: Assist patients in moving, walking, and transferring to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs in accordance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs, changes in condition, and concerns to Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians.
- Hygiene Support: Ensure patients' rooms and personal spaces are clean, organized, and comfortable.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
