Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and patient condition.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient status and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment according to infection control protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on quality care.
