Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital sanitation and infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to prevent falls and promote mobility.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Document patient care activities and any incidents in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers is required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
