Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or canes as necessary.
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the RN or LPN on duty immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or procedures.
- Document patient care activities and observations in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
