As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for exceptional candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
