Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Monitor residents' vital signs, health status, and emotional well-being, reporting any changes immediately to the nursing staff.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for residents with special dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with state health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License (CNA 1 and CNA 2 preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living settings is highly valued.
