Responsibilities
- Assist Patients with ADLs: Provide compassionate support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure patient hygiene and comfort.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Monitor patients for skin integrity and changes in condition, reporting any concerns immediately to the charge nurse.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the medical team, relaying important information clearly and empathetically.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts in compliance with hospital policies.
- Environment Maintenance: Assist in keeping patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and organized to prevent infections.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
