Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, standing, and transferring to beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment to prevent infection.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
