Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current, active California CNA Certification required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license (if driving company vehicle).
