Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including doctors, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure optimal patient recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting or acute care.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
