Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques and mobility aids.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate patient needs, changes in condition, and concerns to registered nurses and physicians in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment, including bed-making and room sanitation.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the charge nurse or physician.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Candidates must pass a background check and a drug screen prior to employment.
