Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming) to patients in accordance with care plans.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately and timely.
- Assistance: Assist nurses and medical staff with procedures, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and environments are clean, safe, and sanitized at all times.
- Documentation: Update patient charts and electronic medical records (EMR) with current observations and care provided.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Massachusetts State CNA Certification.
- CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; physical stamina to handle the demands of patient care.
- License: Valid Massachusetts driver's license is not required but may be a plus.
