Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient conditions to ensure optimal recovery and safety.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, changes in condition, and outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care plans.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to resolve patient needs.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee (or compact state eligibility).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and excellent communication abilities.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
