Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and mobility equipment.
- Implement individualized care plans under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient behavior or condition to the charge nurse immediately.
- Document care activities and patient observations accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor toward patients and families.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
