Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patients' families regarding patient status.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Missouri.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-first attitude and high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
