Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to any changes in condition or medical needs immediately.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
