Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transport them safely throughout the facility.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and symptoms in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required by safety guidelines.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
