Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent bedsores and ensure safety.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, including sanitizing equipment and linens.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
  • Administer medication as directed by the RN or LPN, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Support patients emotionally and spiritually during their stay.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
  • Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong compassion, patience, and empathy for the elderly or disabled population.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
