Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the Charge Nurse or Medical Director immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with OSHA and facility standards.
- Administer medications as directed by the RN or LPN within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and effectively (up to 50 lbs).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for patient care.
